Had to make a small change to the placement of the bottom body text so that it would be legible. Printing in the morning but suggestions are welcome :)

Film Poster

I tried to take the simplicity of Jessica's design and some layout aspects of Jennifer's poster but had to add more layers to try and meet the 12. Amanda, how many layers do you see? Any input is much appreciated :)

I like JBlock's start with a solid color background with black vector imagery. I attached my in-progress poster. Feedback is welcomed! :D Also, how many layers do you count here Amanda? :D Thank you.

I have some imagery for my poster. I'm trying to give it the grungy effect we talked about but I am having trouble doing it. What did you do to give it that effect??  Just asking that way we will all be uniform.

Also, since I am doing the Musical genre, I decided to "feature" a musical I recently saw. (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change) Does it really matter what we "feature" or can we just make it up?

Also,  in the supporting text, do we need to include a partial schedule of what else is being shown at this Film Festival? If so, do we include factual information?

As I started working, I started coming up with all these questions. Let me know, thanks guys!!

Internship Opening, Cooper Outdoor

Amanda,
I am an employee of Cooper Outdoor Advertising a graphics and Billboard company here in town. We are currently looking for an Intern who is proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator to help with our Ad Layouts.
I am contacting you to inquire about the student that you may see fit to help a couple of days a week maybe more while working with these programs, designing and producing billboards, posters, bus benches and things of this nature. As of now I am under the idea that this will be an unpaid internship.
We look forward to hearing from you, and you may contact myself at this email or Jason at jason@cooperoutdoor.com or 361-765-7711.
Thank you for your time, and we look forward to hearing from you.

I initially used a toy gun for photo but I didn't like it, so I used the real thing instead. YIKES!!! Didn't think this would fly in an actual bookstore.

Feedback please??? :D Thanks

Jessica Block

Art Nouveau

I apologize if this is too hard to see clearly but I was expecting to show this sketch in class and kept things fairly light because I didn't want to make anything permanent before I at least got some feedback. If the photo isn't enough then I'll try and get it to a scanner tonight and repost it. Basically, I've just been trying to combine elements that make up the majority of posters I've looked at from the movement. So we have a girl with really wild hair as the main subject of the poster. The background isn't there yet because I can't decide if I want Text in the actual image or just on the border. If it looks really empty right now, its simply because I wanted an okay on the imagery before I take this into illustrator for the color and line work. Borders are 2 inches on top 3 on bottom and 1.5 on the side, so there's plenty of room to work with the patterns and decor. Most of the text will be on the bottom and will probably just be the name of the movement and date. I'm thinking about using the bottom right of the image to display the names of some important artists of the movement as well.

Swiss International poster

I want to add a large photo of someone's face/head to finish this poster. I was thinking of asking Cody Jones :) but before I do, I want to make sure I'm, at least, on the right track.....Your feedback is MUCH appreciated.
